Evaluation & Assessment

  1. As per the CBSE guidelines thewill be followed from classes I to IX.
  2. Evaluation- refers to a system of school based evaluation of students that covers all aspects of development. The scheme is thus a curricular initiative, attempting to shift emphasis from testing to holistic learning. It aims at creating good citizens possessing sound health, appropriate skills and desirable qualities, apart from academic excellence. It is hoped that this will equip the learners to meet the challenges of life with confidence and success. The student shall be tested for both scholastic and co-curricular excellence.
  3. The academic session is divided into two terms:
    First term : April to September
    Second term: October to March
  4. The students shall be tested on the basis of the following:
    Periodic Assessment :10% weight-age
    Subject Enrichment Assessment : 5% weight-age
    Note Book Assessment : 5% weight-age
    Term Assessment : 80% weight-age

The students shall also be assessed in the co-scholastic areas. The Co-scholastic areas include:he Co-scholastic areas include:

Students are to be awarded grades according to the following scheme:
